Tech support…

Tomorrow morning I am continuing an odd schedule ever since I left my last library. Each Wednesday this month, I return to my former employer to teach an Excel basics class. This is something I volunteered to do (my current job is paying my time so I can replicate the classes at my new library). Previously, I would spend a lot of time researching and putting together a lesson plan, but I have bagged that thanks to what my just be my favorite internet resource: GCFLearnFree.org. It’s a wonderful non-profit that provides step-by-step computer tutorials including videos and live classes.

Winging it and a prayer…

I got nothing today. I’m really tired and spent. We are short people at work and I just realized that I have two programs back to back tomorrow morning and am going to have to fake it. I have a computer class first thing which is fairly easy to fake because people don’t know what they don’t know and are usually happy with a couple practical tips because most likely they won’t practice them and I will end up helping at a later time. Computers run into storytime. I am going to mostly wing it. They are toddlers after all.
